Friends Of Warrior's Path State Park Hero

Welcome to the New Friends of Warriors’ Path State Park Website!

We are thrilled to introduce you to the newly designed and developed Friends of Warriors’ Path State Park website, created by Bear Web Design. Our new online space is designed to be more user-friendly, informative, and engaging—reflecting our dedication to preserving and enhancing the beauty and facilities of Warriors’ Path State Park.

About Friends of Warriors’ Path State Park

Friends of Warriors’ Path State Park is a passionate group of community members committed to improving, protecting, and preserving the park through user input, funding, and volunteer labor. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, every donation made goes directly to supporting the park’s needs, ensuring Warriors’ Path continues to be a treasured destination for generations to come.

While park facilities such as the golf course, campsites, and rentals generate revenue, these funds are allocated to the broader Tennessee State Parks budget. Unfortunately, this does not fully cover the park’s maintenance and improvement needs—and that’s where Friends of Warriors’ Path State Park steps in.

Our Mission

Our mission is to conserve Warriors’ Path’s natural resources and support the park through maintenance and enhancements. Whether it’s maintaining Darrell’s Dream Boundless Playground, assisting with trail work, or advocating for park improvements, we provide an avenue for the community to give back in meaningful ways.

Looking Ahead: Our Vision for the Future

We continuously seek innovative ways to improve the park’s facilities and experiences. With tourism playing a vital role in our community, we are committed to:

  • Adding restrooms on the golf course
  • Complete replacement of wardrobes on Lions Narnia Braille Trail
  • Complete Disc Golf improvements – replacing tee signs for disc golf course and resurfacing all 36 holes with new turf
  • Repair and restore the pavement and the picnic/entry pavilion at the Boundless Playground
  • Complete new raptor habitats for raptors used in educational programs by Ranger Marty Silver

It is important to note that any money you give to Friends goes directly to benefit Warriors’ Path State Park. Park facilities such as the golf course, campsites, and rentals do generate revenue; however this money goes into the state’s overall budget for all TN State Parks. Monies returned to the Warriors’ Path budget are not adequate to meet current or future needs for maintenance and improvements. And that is where Friends comes in – to provide to the Park for things beyond just the operating budget.
