Near the Stone Table, the Witch and her driver tie Edmund to a tree. She plans to kill him to keep the prophecy from coming true, but Aslan’s forces arrive just in time to untie the rope and free Edmund. In all the confusion, the Witch disappears.
Later, the Witch and Aslan meet and make an agreement that assures Edmund’s safety — but not that of Aslan, because Aslan has offered to take Edmund’s place. The lion’s death will fulfill the law of the Deep Magic.
Find the tree with a piece of rope at the bottom just to the right of the walk. The Stone Table is to the left of the pathway. If you need a rest, there are benches beside the table.
